My second chase day with Brindley on this Plains run. This season we weren't particularly interested in going all out for tornadoes, recovering from burnout by limiting our stress. We didn't like where this day was setting up with an eastern Oklahoma play, where the terrain is quite bad. We opted to hang out in Enid most of the day where we had ended the previous day's chase, and hoped for a local secondary play off the dryline.
Chilling at a local park most of fhe day, waiting to see what the weather does.

We finally moved on activity to our east, which wasn't our discrete secondary play, but us conceding and just getting on the line of storms where we could. We intercepted cells moving through Stillwater, negotating traffic and lights. Structure was mushy and outflowy and apparently it was so bad neither one of us actually took any pictures of it.
We called the chase as the cells congealed. On the way to our hotel in Joplin, we saw some neat upward branching lightning.

Conclusion

Another bust from a storm chasing standpoint, but it nice to relax and hng out instead.
